This Senior Product Marketing position is responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy for EVO:RAIL, the first 100% Powered By VMware Hyper-Converged Infrastructure Appliance. This fast paced business is a key enable for VMware’s vision for the Software Defined Datacenter. The ideal candidate will act like a business owner to ensure EVO:RAIL adapts to new trends and grows the overall customer base.

The primary responsibilities of this position are as follows:

* Create positioning and messaging that resonates with target markets and target personas

* Develop successful marketing campaigns to drive awareness and product sales.

* Define the pricing and packaging strategy to achieve corporate objectives

* Create compelling marketing content to support go-to-market efforts including:

web content, blog posts, social media channels, presentations, datasheets, white papers, customer case studies, demos, and training materials.

* Identify and track key performance indicators such a units sold, unit mix, geo mix, average selling price, channel mix etc.

* Evangelize company and product with customers, industry analysts, press, and executives at venues such as VMworld, VMware User Groups, vForum and technology partner events

* Create and deliver sales enablement training for VMware field and partners

* Cultivate customer references that can be leveraged across the sales cycle

Requirements:

* Minimum of 6 years of experience in software marketing

* Bachelor’s in business, computer science or engineering, MBA or equivalent work experience desired

* Technical background required, VMware product familiarity highly desired

* Must be able to synthesize and simplify complex concepts and turn them into clear and concise messages

* Exceptional analytical skills and strategic thinking. Demonstrated ability to develop creative/non-traditional solutions.

* Aptitude to quickly come up to speed on new technology concepts. Passion to evangelize a disruptive new technology.

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Previous experience interacting with and presenting to C-level executives.

* Strong leader, self-starter and proven team player in a high achievement-oriented environment.

* Demonstrated ability to successfully work across business units and companies and with high-level executives

* Proven ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision

* Experience with multi-country activity and responsibility

* Willingness to travel 10%-15% of the time
