Bose QuietComfort 35 II with Google Assistant Officially Announced

Last week the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones were spotted at a Best Buy store. The retail box listed that the headphones would support Google Assistant. Today, Google and Bose have issued press statements officially announcing the device.

The headphones were leaked a couple of weeks ago too, when images inside the Google app hinted that Google is working on a headphones that would run the Google Assistant. These are Google’s Bisto line of headphones and the Bose QuietComfort 35 II has reportedly been code-named ‘Baywolf’ internally.

The lone button on the left earcup triggers the Google Assistant.

Bose QuietComfort 35 II comes out into the markets with three buttons on the right earcup which control the volume and other general functions. However the thing that intrigues us the most is the button on the left. Pressing and holding the button would trigger the Google Assistant.

These headphones come out in two variants – Black and White. The price has been set at $350. Those looking forward to buy the Bose QuietComfort 35 II must keep in mind that the Google Assistant would function only in US, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, and the U.K.

With the Bose QuietComfort 35 II connected, you wouldn’t even need to touch your phone for many common actions.

  • Incoming text messages, reminders and calendar events would be read out to you.
  • Alarms and Reminders can be set by just speaking to the headphones
  • Music control and playlist playback can be easily controlled by simple voice commands
  • The Google Assistant in the Bose QuietComfort 35 II could also make calls for you without having to touch your phone. For example, saying ‘Call Andrew’ would have the assistant dial up Andrew from your phonebook.
  • The Assistant can even read out the latest news from the day to you.

The headphones also offer an incredible level of noise cancellation and an impressive battery life of up to 20 hours.
