Role Summary

 

This position is responsible for partnering with a range of business units within the EMEA region to provide guidance and support on all HR related matters. Where appropriate the role liaises with Global HR Business Partners in Seattle to provide local HR support and guidance. This position is both a member of the regional EMEA HR Team as well as a member of the global HR Relationship Management team, and reports directly to the Head of HR for the EMEA Region. 

 

The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:

 

1.     Client Relationships

•       Be a trusted advisor to the business.  Establish and maintain good relationships with the business unit leaders and their teams by providing first-class HR consultation, working with others in the HR EMEA team as necessary.

2.     Employee Relations

•       Keep up-to-date with all developments in employment legislation and manage the spectrum of employee relations issues, including but not limited to:

•       Poor performance, disciplinaries, terminations, redundancies, negotiating compromise agreements

•       Grievances

•       Sickness absence, Occupational Health

•       Flexible Working Requests

•       Checking employment contracts and changes thereto

•       Exit interviews

•       Interpret and communicate policies, procedures and legislation and provide advice to line managers and business heads accordingly.

•       Monitor adherence to all HR policies, practices and procedures.

3.     Compensation & Benefits

•       Partner with the Global HR Business Partners and Head of HR EMEA to deliver the annual appraisal and compensation rounds by facilitating the processes with EMEA-based businesses.

•       Assist Head of HR, EMEA to facilitate and advise on the annual renewal of Commission Agreements, liaising with the Subject Matter Expert in Seattle.

•       Understand employee benefits and related policies and advise associates accordingly.

4.     Recruitment

•       Partner with the talent acquisition team during the hiring process to deliver a coordinated, streamlined process to the business and ensure the selection of high-calibre candidates.

•       Facilitate internal transfers and global mobility to assist with retaining and developing top talent.

5.     Talent Development

•       Training - Liaise with business unit heads on associate training needs and advise on appropriate courses and training suppliers.  Source training suppliers and negotiate fees.

•       Assist Head of HR, EMEA and Global HR Business Partners to conduct talent reviews and succession planning initiatives.

6.     HR

•       Global HR - provide feedback to global HR teams on associate and line manager needs, and provide input into the design of corporate programs, policies and organisational development initiatives.

•       EMEA HR - participate in and lead EMEA HR projects to ensure optimal efficiency.
