The Field Service Specialist Sr provides leadership as the crew lead for wellhead assembly, installation and service including complex installations specific to offshore application. This position provides general supervision and leadership to junior Specialists. This position interfaces directly with customers and provides quality, professional service and customer support. This position requires a specific days on days off rotation.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:
-Responsible for safety of self and others including reporting of all work related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts as soon as practicable to supervisor or senior technician.
-Conduct all operations in accordance with running procedures and company Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) policy.
-Ensures Job Safety Analysis (JSA)s are completed and follows-up on any outstanding concerns prior to commencing work.
-Lead for general valve repair and service, offshore wellhead installations
-Crew lead for disassembly, inspection, repair and pressure testing of offshore wellhead equipment, including final sign-off for pressure testing.
-Crew lead for basic and complex assembly of wellhead components for offshore installation.
-Crew Lead for offshore service and installation
-Provides relief supervision in absence of Senior Service Supervisor.
-Interfaces with customers to provide product advice and determine customer needs to be forwarded to the Customer Service Coordinator.
-Accurate and timely completion of field service tickets (FSO’s).
-Responsible for general SAP data processing and inquiries including researching bill of materials, identifying location references by functional location, checking stock availability, printing sales orders and confirming customer account credit approval.
-Receive freight and warehouse components as required ensuring appropriate documentation is processed in accordance with company policy and procedures. Also, ensure product is stored in a safe and orderly manner so it is accessible for future use and necessary precautions are taken to prevent damage while in storage.
-General shop and equipment clean-up and maintenance.
Minimum Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or Experience:
-High School Diploma and or GED. Consideration will be made for equivalent education/direct work experience
-5 years’ experience as Specialist III assembly and service competencies
-General oilfield product/equipment operating knowledge
-Desired: prior supervisory experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
-Offshore Survival Training (Required)
-Cameron HS&E Training
-Forklift Certification
-FirstAid -Safe Driving
-Hoisting and Rigging -TDG
-H2S
-PST
-WHMIS
-Valid driver’s license
Other Skills & Abilities:
-Ability to visually differentiate valves and wellhead components.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and experience.
-Proficient in mentoring and training junior technicians
-Proficient with Microsoft applications.
-Demonstrated ability to provide professional customer service and support
-Attention to detail concerning completion of field service tickets and ability to resolve customer concerns regarding billed hours.
-Strong understanding of offshore product function and advantages of specific products given customer application
-Proficient with SAP
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Lifting and moving of heavy equipment.
Extended working hours during on-call activities.
