Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct experimental procedures.
- Document experimental objectives, protocols, results and conclusions.
- Constructing DNA, building plasmids, and transforming yeast strains.
- Prepare for project meetings and present experimental results.
- Assist in writing patents, as well as manuscripts.
Requirements:
· Ph.D. Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetic Engineering
· Demonstrated experience in Molecular Biology and Microbiology
· Exceptional communication and organizational skills
· Bacterial genetics experience.
· Must be able to construct DNA.
· Must be able to build plasmids, transform strains.
· Detail oriented with excellent problem solving skills
· Experience with Cyanobacterial molecular biology is a plus.
· Laboratory experience with genomic manipulation of other bacteria, archael or yeast host organisms is a plus.
*NO MAMMALIAN CELL-BASED EXPERIENCE
*Pay rate: $22-$24/hr
