The Dawn Of The Smart Vending Machine

Vendors have been working with various software companies in order to change the face of vending machines drastically.

The biggest revolution in the world of vending machines was when they began to accept notes and that was many years ago. Since then, vending machines have been the same as ever. Now, though, vendors are looking at joining the rest of the world by using cloud systems to make a smart vending machine. The smart machines will know what a consumer wants. Consumers will be able to purchase direct from the vending machine without any cash or even credit card if they need to and the vendors will be able to track their stock far more effectively so that annoying moment when there isn’t any of our favorite candy is far less likely to happen.

The Dawn Of The Smart Vending Machine

For The Consumer

Consumers will be able to set up accounts via an app. This account can then be used to purchase products from the vending machine by scanning the smartphone on the machine. People will even be able to send gifts to their friends, loved ones and co-workers via the app. Vending machines will store account information and be able to recommend offers and products as the account is built up.

Vending machines will have all the payment options you could possibly expect or need so there will never be a reason that you can’t use them. Large screens on the machines that will look like a huge smart phone will help to make the correct selection (no pressing the wrong button because you got the letters and the numbers mixed up), just easy to use, one tap solutions to your vending needs.

For Vendors

As the vending machine will essentially be a smartphone, all the information that is entered i.e. the orders etc. can be used to give vendors valuable information about what it and isn’t selling well, when the vending machine runs out of stock etc. By concentrating on these analytics, vendors are able to put together a solid marketing plan for stock control in each area.

Vendors hope to see the introduction of the smart vending machine in 2014.
