Study: FAA's ruling on smartphones during takeoff has had little impact

Airlines have seen almost no increase in the use of smartphones, tablets, and laptops among passengers since the Federal Aviation Administration ruled in October that they are now allowed to do so during takeoff and landing. But that's likely to change over time.

How can I keep back up pictures from my memory card onto my hard drive?

http://ift.tt/1iZHv9S

I regularly have new images in my memory card and keep a back up of it in my PC and then sometimes remove some images from my memory card to free up space. It is very tiring to find and select photos from my memory card which aren’t backed up as there are many sub folders. Is there a software which can help me keep the files in sync easily. I want one which won’t delete files from my hard disk if it finds that I have deleted the Image from my Memory card. That is I want it to just copy new images to its respective subfolder in the hard disk(the folder arrangement is exactly same in hard disk).

How can I use an old internal hard drive as a DVR or media player?

http://ift.tt/1iZHv9S

I want to know if there’s a way to use an old internal HDD as a DVR or media player. I have an old Sony Bravia that only plays MPEG1 movies through the USB. I would be nice to use my old HDDs to play movies for the kids. I also have the three color RCA inputs as well.

Thanks in advance
