My phone storage is running out! My apps are being stored in phone storage even when I have set my default storage to external SD card. I have tried moving apps to external storage. Nothing helped. I have Android Kitkat 4.4.2. What to do now?

I have a Toshiba satellite laptop (Windows 7) with RAM 3GB. My laptop hangs whenever there is a sudden jerk. Nowadays, even a slight shaking hangs the laptop. Can somebody suggest what is the fault in my computer?
