Why does my the keyboard on my HP laptop produce strange keystrokes all of a sudden?

The keyboard on my HP DV6 Pavilion laptop has started working funny all of sudden. It types g as g54, h as h67, 6 as h67, 7 as h67 and so on.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard driver but no changes. I shut down and removed the battery, pressed the on button for 60 seconds still no changes. I have also tried restarting then pressing the Escape key to default the changes but no changes…all in vain

can anybody help me please?
