Gboard Keyboard Adds Support for Stickers and Bitmojis
Google’s keyboard application, Gboard has been one of the most popular keyboard alternative apps in Android as well as iOS. The app has been wildly popular because of the number of shortcuts it offers to the users. One of the most popularly demanded features has finally made its debut on the app – support for stickers. Users of the Gboard keyboard can now insert stickers and Bitmojis directly from the keyboard!)
Stickers and Bitmoji have become popular over the past few years since they became mainstream on Facebook and other chat apps. The Gboard Keyboard gives the users the option to either insert their own custom-made Bitmoji or download sticker packs (such as those of Disney Princesses, Garfield, Google Allo selfie stickers, Hello Kitty, Mickey Mouse, NBAmoji, and Star Wars among others).
While these stickers and Bitmoji will not work in all apps, they are going to be supported by all apps which support the insertion of images in text fields. In order to insert stickers or Bitmoji, you will have to tap on the emoji icon next to the keyboard and select ‘stickers’. However before you start inserting stickers in threads you will need to download sticker packs. Let us take a look at how to download stickers in the Gboard Keyboard.
How to Download Stickers to the Gboard Keyboard
- Update your app to the latest version
- Tap on the emoji key next to the spacebar
- Tap on stickers
- Tap on ‘Get Stickers’ or ‘Get Bitmoji’
- If you want to use Bitmoji stickers you will need to download and install the Bitmoji app.
- For stickers, tapping on Get Stickers would take you to a Google Play Store page where dozens of sticker packs are available to download.
