Microsoft Edge Finally Makes It’s Way Into Android OS
Microsoft has been among the biggest players when it comes to the world of software technology. While most of their products are appreciated, Internet Explorer used to stick out like a sore thumb. However with the Windows 10 OS, Microsoft introduced a new browser – Microsoft Edge.
So far, the Microsoft Edge web browser was available only on Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile and the XBOX platforms. However the company is all set to bring the browser for Android too. Microsoft Edge for Android was officially announced yesterday.
Microsoft Edge for Android is finally here!
Microsoft has been coming out with a number of apps for Android over the past few years. The company has been bringing in subtle branding changes too. For example the Arrow Launcher was renamed as ‘Microsoft Launcher’ today. Coming back to Microsoft Edge – the browser was announced today but it will undergo a major beta test by Microsoft Insiders and beta testers before it gets out for the public as a stable version.
Moreover, Microsoft Edge for Android will first come out for Android users based in the US, following which it would eventually get a global release. Microsoft has brought forward many major features of the browser which were present in the PC version to the Android app. Features such as Favorites, Reading List, New Tab Page, and Reading View have all made their debut on the Android app.
As of now Microsoft has not announced any date or given any timeframes for the release. However we expect Microsoft Edge for Android users to come out either towards the end of the year or earlier next year. The browser will compete with the likes of Firefox and Google Chrome.
Moreover, it will be even better for users making use of the browser on their Windows 10 PC. They’ll be able to transfer websites from their phone to PC and from their PC to phone making browsing a seamless experience. Stay tuned with us for more updates on Microsoft Edge for Android devices.

5 Times Google Took A Shot at Apple At The Pixel 2 Launch
There is an eternal war going on between the Android and iOS users. Google and Apple are always at war in the markets. Now that Google has started manufacturing their own smartphones, the war has become even more intense. Google’s latest launch was that of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
It is common for smartphone makers to take shots at each other from time to time, this peaks during their major launch events such as these. During the Pixel 2 launch event, Google took many shots at Apple, some of which were subtle while others were direct. Let us take a look at 5 times Google took a shot at it’s rival phone-maker.
#5: Identical Features in Both Devices
Google took a major shot at the iPhones and the way Apple treats the phones where the smaller iPhone tends to get lesser features such as a single camera, smaller storage, etc. Google said: “We don’t set aside better features for the larger device.”
#4: Storage Issues
Google Pixel 2 offers unlimited original size photo storage on Google Photos. Google took a brutal shot at Apple during the final video of the Pixel where a couple of frames of the iPhone were visible where issues with full storage were pointed out!

#3:One More Thing…
Steve Jobs was known for his iconic line, ‘One More Thing’ which indicates something big is coming up. A Google exec dropped the line casually after presenting the Google Home Mini, just before the Google Home Max was unveiled.
#2: From iPhone to Pixel
Phonemakers often tend to show off how easy it is to migrate from another device to theirs. Google took another shot at it’s rival phone-maker when it showed a user migrating from an iPhone to a Pixel 2. It was also stated that users could move their iMessages as well.
#1: A Bite of the Apple
Google, in their opening video addressed many questions about how smartphones need to become smarter. They took a sharp jab at iPhones here – “What if a company based on questions questioned this?” was one of the questions asked in this montage. this question was immediately followed by a visual of a woman biting into an Apple.
