Two Games Announced For Sony’s Project Morpheus

Oculus Rift has been at the receiving end of some rather bad press following its take over by Facebook, with some crowd funders even demanding their money back. In the meantime Sony is enjoying all the praise for its Project Morpheus and has decided that now is the right time to announce two games that being produced for its virtual reality device.

Project Morpheus

Slightly Mad Studios will be releasing Project Cars later this year and it will be compatible with Project Morpheus. The racing sim is a clever move by both Slightly Mad Studios and Sony because the feeling of actually sitting inside a type of cockpit, feels far more real than a first-person view, like in Rift’s Skyrim for example.

The second game set for release for Morpheus is Until Dawn, a survival horror produced by Supermassive Games. The game itself was actually announced back in 2012 and was compatible with the PS Move but then all went quiet. It could be that it has taken time to make the change from PS3 to PS4 and to a VR headset but again this genre of game will be ideal for showcasing the Morpheus’ peripheral designed for immersion.

We still don’t know when to expect Project Morpheus on the shelves but it is certainly going from strength to strength and almost definitely won’t be bought out by Facebook.
