What is my Galaxy Pocket Neo not responding to touch and getsures?

I use a Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo GT-S5312, which is just 5 months old. For the last 3-4 days, my touchscreen has not been responding properly.Whatever I do, it is not working as before. Sometimes, after a lot of swipes it may work but otherwise it is dead still. All the hardware keys are working perfectly. The main problem is while attending calls where there is no option other than touch for this purpose. I now have to use my headset to attend the calls. Please sort out this problem if anyone can.
