Why can’t I boot Windows XP from SSD on my PC?

http://ift.tt/1iZHv9S

After cloning my disk with dual boot Windows 7 and Windows XP to a Samsung SSD drive my Windows XP will not start .Both OSs are available at boot up and Windows 7 runs fine. However, if I select Windows XP, it hangs at the welcome screen (blue screen with no login icons). I have tried safe mode, but get a similar blue screen with just ‘welcome’ on it. If I put the original drive back in, it works fine.

What to do??
