How do I burn an ISO file to DVD using Nero 12 under Windows 8.1?

I downloaded the new version of Ubuntu 14.04.1 desktop as an ISO file. Now I am having a difficult time making a bootable disc. I have Nero 12 and when attempting to use the ISO maker I get the message a non-Nero identifiable source (Something to that effect). I am using Windows 8.1 (and will attempt the update later today)/ I even downloaded Magic CD/DVD Maker and attempted again. Where do I go from here?
