I tried charging my phone battery with the method a USB wire, by cutting the small edge of USB wire and joining the black and red wires with the battery terminals. However it did not charge. Now my phone is off because it is empty and it is not charging. I put it on the charge for one whole night but it did not charge. I am wondering if that was because I used that USB cable direct method on my battery or that I think prongs of my phone’s charging port are misplaced. What to do in either of cases…? My phone is SAMSUNG Galaxy Y Gt-S5360.
