Android 8.1 Factory Images Live: OTA Update Expected Soon
Google has been testing the Android 8.1 OS update for some time now in it’s Beta phase. However, after testing out two Developer Previews of the OS, Google has finally released the final version of the OS in forms of factory images. These factory images are live and updated on the Google website.
The Android 8.1 Factory Images are available for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel C, Google Pixel and Pixel XL as well as the recently released Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. These images can be downloaded and flashed on to the phone by the users who are familiar with the process.
However if you are not familiar with how to manually install a new Android OS update on your phone, we’d recommend you skip the Android 8.1 Factory images and wait for the OTA Update which will allow you to install Android 8.1 with ease. The OTA update is expected later this week or early next week.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is one of the most common forms of mental health conditions that many individuals suffer from after they go through a hard time in life. If you are searching for PTSD or other related search terms, Google will now prompt you to answer a quiz which has 5 questions, the results to which can tell you if you are likely to be suffering from this disorder.
By tapping “check if you may have PTSD,” you can answer a private questionnaire to assess your likelihood of having PTSD and have a more informed conversation with your doctor. Getting an in-person assessment is essential to a diagnosis of PTSD, and this commonly- used screening tool gives you important information you can bring to your appointment.
In the past, Google has had a similar tool for diagnosing depression. This is a good move from Google and will help drive more users towards getting a clinical treatment of this serious ailment.
