Role Summary/Purpose:
This role is an entry level position and the Manufacturing Entry Level will perform a variety of duties in either the Assembly or Fabrication Department at GE’s West Burlington, IA facility.
Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Perform a variety of entry-level work, including but not limited to the following:
- Mechanical / wire sub-assemblies
- Basic assembly / wiring operations
- Simple fab layouts / setups
- Conveyor loading / unloading
- Perform general facility housekeeping duties
Qualifications/Requirements: - High School Diploma / GED
- Minimum of 1 year of working in a manufacturing environment
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: - Ability and willingness to stand for long periods of time
- Ability and willingness to work various shifts, which include both 1st and 2nd shift
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Desired Characteristics: - Ability and willingness to read and interpret Engineering documentation at a basic level
- Basic Computer Skills
- Ability to use hand tools including but not limited to: Battery operated drivers, pneumatic tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, mallets, and hammers
- Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
- Work history in fast paced, physical work environments
- Functional understanding of safety principles and a safe work history
- National Career Readiness Certificate from IowaWorks
