Google Play Music Fixes Irritating ‘Swipe to Delete’ Problem

One of the most irritating things about Google Play Music was the swipe to delete feature. Basically, swiping a song from your playlist would result in it getting removed from your playlist, or even worse – deleted! This issue has been there for a while now and a number of users have been complaining about it in the reviews of the app.

Google has finally fixed this bug by upgrading the app’s version to 8.5.6542-1.Y – the changelog for this app update simply reads ‘bug fixes’. However the biggest bug that has been fixed in Google Play Music is this swipe to delete problem. This feature was particularly annoying because it was causing users to accidentally delete their songs even when performing a simple gesture like scrolling through the playlist.

Many users claimed they’ve moved to other music streaming services just because of how annoying this was. We guess it’s time to move back now.
