Google has now introduced a new feature in some Android smartphones which will help predict battery consumption in a smarter manner. In the past, Google used to determine battery usage based on simple data from the past –

Previously, your phone would estimate your battery loss with simple assumptions. If you’ve used about 10% per hour over the past few hours, we would guess you will keep using 10% per hour. As you might expect, this wasn’t always very accurate.

However, it works on a much smarter algorithm now. The Google Pixel devices are among the first devices to get this update where the phone will understand how you generally use it and it will use smarter algorithms to predict the battery life drainage trend. This is a small change but it will help the users know when they usually tend to consume the most amount of battery and they can recharge preemptively.
