Which web service provides non-VOIP international calls? Web services like Viber-out , Skype-out , LINE and Facebook messenger provide either an app-to-app and/or calls to phones via VOIP. But are there web services which provide free or paid international calls to phones , by connecting over phone lines instead of data connection. Like , say a scenario , the webservice would call both numbers and connect.

Every day I find a couple of interesting events I would like to attend. Sometimes I find out about these events while checking my Facebook feed, and other times while walking on the street and seeing and ad. There are several events, and I want to keep them all in mind. How to manage all these information?
What I do now is I take a pic of the ad (if I’m walking on the street) and then I upload it to the internet, or I take the link to the photo (if I found it on the internet), and then I create a Google Calendar event, linking in the desciption to the picture with the information. But that’s not efficient enough. More than often, I don’t find time to do these, or I forget to do it in time. Another problem I’ve found is that many of these events have multiple dates (for example, a conference that will be given in 3 diferent times of the week) and then I lose time creating those 3 different events, which have the same title and description. Moreover, in the description I put a link to the picture uploaded to the internet, and if I don’t have an internet connection that information is not available.
So my wish would be to have a Chrome extension and an Android app, so that when I find an interesting event, I just press a button and save the picture in Google Drive or something that will make that information available on my smartphone while being offline. And then this app/extension asks me to create some events in a Calendar, so that I can put a title and different dates for it. Lastly, these events will have a link to the picture of the event.
I don’t know if something like that exists. But if you can help me with some ideas of apps or web services to make the whole process faster, I would thank you very much. By the way, my smartphone has Android 4.4.2. Thanks in advance.

What are the best audio notes apps for Android? I’m interested in the ones that are shown in movies where some tech or scientist use a small recorder to record small audio notes with times logs. These can be used to record my thoughts or any ideas that I have. I’m currently using keep but I would prefer an app specific to this function.

Just found the app Tap Notify. It could be the perfect solution for my son with a disability, just what I’ve been looking for. I installed it on his new iPad. I tried sending a message to my phone from his device but I get “Message Failed to Send” on his device. I tried sending it as an email. Same “failed to send” message. I tried restarting the iPad. Still didn’t work. I installed the app on my very old iPad. I get a “Message Send Error” that says “Unable to send message”. I got this message after restarting the iPad. Please help.

I have followed the tuturial here on how to setup the Raspberry Pi as a Torrent Box with VPN client to mask my Home IP.
I have a question regarding access to the Pi once it is connected to the VPN. Currently everything is working on my Pi and I can SSH to it and use the Transmission WebUI while I am on my local network of 10.10.1.*
Now the issue I have been struggling to figure out is how to remotely access the Pi properly so I can use the WebUI. I have a Asus RT-AC68U as my main router and have a OpenVPN server running on it. This allows me to VPN into my house and access all my local devices. It is using tun as I need the Android support. The issue with tun is that it assigns a different IP to my clients – 10.8.0.* so when I try to SSH to the Pi or use the WebUI the VPN client on the Pi is redirecting this traffic over the Pi VPN (PIA) and I never get back a response. I switched my Router Server VPN to use TAP and DHCP of my local LAN and the issue was solved as in that configuration my client has a local LAN IP. I imagine I should be able to change the IPtables on the Pi so my 10.8.0.* traffic is not routed over the Pi VPN client but I cannot for the life of me figure it out. If anyone has any suggestions please point me in the right direction I have been reading for hours and hours with no luck.

How do I get YouTube working on my Android over Wi-Fi?
I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand (Android 4.2.2) and the YouTube app is the latest version from Play Store. It works fine on my 3G connection and the videos play flawlessly, but when I am connected to Wi-Fi, it just buffers, buffers, and buffers non-stop. My Wi-Fi connection uses a proxy (university) and YouTube is not censored (YouTube works fine on my PC with the same connection). Here are the things I have tried:
None of them worked. Neither does the YouTube site works from browsers. Any help would be appreciated.

Two years ago I switched from Windows to OS X and was perfectly happy. However, I just started this evening a course on programming and apparantly our working environment is Visual Basic (C# .NET) and Windows Presentation Foundation right from the start, whereas I was expecting something more general and cross-platfrom like Java FE.
Necessity knows no law and I need to install Windows OS my Mac. I’m familiar with virtualization options, but I have a MacBook Air (specs are included below) so that’s not an option with the limited power inside. So, Bootcamp is probably the most easy and fastest alternative for now (eventually I will purchase a MacBook Pro when my budget allows).
My question is whether – considering the specs – I should go for “Windows 7 Pro x64″ or the latest “Windows 8.1 x64″? I believe both are supported, but I just want things to run smoothly (no driver issues etc.) as I will only use Windows for my courses. Thanks!
